Introduction:

Below a brief description of some of the historic sights that visitors can see in Northern and Luapula Provinces. It needs to be emphasized here that the listing is not comprehensive; only the places seen on our journey are described here. Generally, the northern part of Zambia - the right wing of the butterfly-shaped country - is a fascinating area, well worth an extended visit.
