| Getting there and away: minibuses to Puta/Chiengi/Congo border; occ. trucks to Kaputa Comment: this is the turnoff to Kaputa/Nsumbu/L. Tanganyika and places north, and to Nsama, L.Mweru Wantipa, L. Cheshi, Mporokoso, Kasama and places east. The road forks after 21km - at 09 07.536S 029 12.995E - good gravel to Kaputa; bushtrack to the Kalungwishi R. Falls (Kundabwika, Mumbuluma, Kabweluma, Chimpembi, Lumangwe) and the Mporokoso-Kawambwa road. |

| Comment: this is the north-end of L. Mweru; Congo border. There's said to be a cross-connecting road to Kaputa, we learnt later, so didn't investigate. Note the amazingly artful house decorations in northern Luapula Province and Around Kaputa. |
